Access Patterns & Concurrency¶
Written via SWMR (Single Writer Multiple Reader) with a ReentrantLock during storage. Records are made visible to scanners after atomic count updates. Read lock-free during flat scans.
Cognitive Role¶
The durable knowledge tier. Stores permanent, deduplicated facts consolidated from episodic memories during offline consolidation. Self-contained storage holds the 64-byte encoding header followed by the INT8 quantized vector payload in a single tier store file.
